Bremer Bank Strives to Send Every Child to School with the Right Tools
St. Paul, Minn. – August 10, 2007 – Bremer Bank is taking action to arm local children with the necessary school supplies and tools needed to help them learn. In partnership with KMSP FOX 9 TV, Bremer is proud to sponsor the annual 'Tools For Schools' collection drive for school supplies for the second consecutive year. Supplies and monetary donations will be accepted throughout the month of August at any Twin Cities Bremer Bank location.
“Sending children to school with the appropriate school supplies places them in a better position to learn and develop skills in the classroom,” said Steve Meads, president and chief executive officer of Bremer Twin Cities Bank. “We are excited to sponsor 'Tools for Schools,' which is an outstanding program that last year resulted in the collection and donation of hundreds of school supplies to Minneapolis and St. Paul school districts.”
Supplies that are collected will go to World Vision Storehouse, where teachers from Minneapolis and St. Paul Public Schools, who are eligible, can shop for free school supplies for their students. In addition to school supplies, cash donations will also be accepted and will go to World Vision Storehouse for additional supplies.
People are also encouraged to bring school supply donations to the Minnesota Thunder game on August 25. Those that donate at the game will receive $1 off their admission ticket and be eligible for a chance to win a $1,000 U.S. savings bond from Bremer.
