How do I get started using Bill Pay?
To access Bill Pay, you must be enrolled in Online Banking for Business. Once you have successfully logged in, click on the Bill Payment link under the Funds Management tab. You will see a Welcome Screen that will walk you through setting up your first biller. There are also demos and online help within Bill Pay that will guide you if you have questions.

Whom can I pay using Bill Pay?
You can make payments to any person or company in the United States except court-ordered payments and state and federal tax payments.

What is the maximum number of billers or payments that can be set up?
There is no maximum.

How far in advance of a bill's due date, should I schedule the payment?
When scheduling a payment, the earliest payment date will populate in the Pay Date field and appear on the easy to use payment calendar. You can select later pay dates if you prefer.

What is the cutoff time for entering payments?
Our daily cut-off for bill payment transactions is 4:00 p.m. (CT). Payments created after that time or on weekends and holidays will be initiated the next business day. The payment calendar within the system will display the earliest payment date for the biller.

Can I change or cancel a payment?
You can use the Pending Payments section to review payments that are scheduled. Click the Change or Cancel link to modify or cancel a pending payment. Once the payment begins processing, the Change or Cancel link is not displayed and you will be unable to make changes or cancel the payment.

Can I set up automatic or recurring payments?
Recurring payments can be set up for fixed amounts. You can also utilize eBills to schedule automatic payments for bills that vary in amount from period to period

What email address is used for bill reminders and eBill notifications?
The email address used for bill pay is the email address assigned to the bill pay administrator at your business.

When are the funds for a payment removed from my account?
Funds for payees who accept electronic bill payments are automatically deducted from your account on the payment due date. Payments that will be sent by paper check are deducted from your account when the biller deposits the check and it is presented to Bremer for payment.

How will I know if the payee received my payment?
You will know the payment was made to the biller when the funds are taken from your account. Electronic payments are posted to your account on the "Payment Due Date". Check payments are posted to your account after the biller deposits the payment and the check is presented to Bremer for payment.

What if a payment does not get to a biller?
If the payment is rejected, Bremer is notified and we work to resolve the issue. If a bill appears as paid but your biller notifies you it is still outstanding, please contact us at 1-800-908-BANK (2265) and we will research the issue on your behalf.

Is there a help feature or a secure message option where I can email my question to Bremer Bank while using bill pay?
Several options exist to get help within Bill Pay for Business. You can use the bill pay help system linked from the top of each bill pay page. If you have a question about a payment that has either cleared or failed, you may inquire about a payment via the Payment History page. You may also view one of 4 demonstrations that exist within the site. Examples include eBills and Reminders. Of course, you can always get help during business hours by calling the Bremer Phone Bank at 1-800-908-BANK (2265).
