Crookston Bremer Bank President to Announce His Retirement: Rob Jacobson to Step Down at Year-End

Crookston, Minn. - August 11, 2009 - Rob Jacobson, president of Bremer Bank in Crookston, has announced he will be retiring December 31, 2009. A 36-year veteran of banking, Jacobson was named president of Bremer Bank in Crookston in 2000 and has been with Bremer for 29 years.

"When people announce their retirement, you speak in terms of legacies,” said Russ Erickson, Bremer Charter President. “Few people leave a more visible legacy than Rob. He has been a great banker and community leader and we are fortunate to have the remainder of the year to ensure the transition will be seamless for our employees, clients and the community.”

A search to find Jacobson’s replacement will be initiated immediately, with plans for a successor to be in place as soon as possible.

“I’d like to thank the Board of Directors and the entire management team for their guidance throughout my career,” said Jacobson. “I have appreciated the dedicated Bremer staff who strive to do their very best for our community, clients and the Bank. I look forward to spending more time with family, golfing, fishing and traveling.”

Active in the community, Jacobson has held leadership roles with the Crookston Rotary Club, Blue Line Club, Crookston Swim Boosters, District 593 Education Foundation, and the Minakwa Country Club. He also served on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and co-chaired the United Way campaign.
