Bremer Bank Names Madison Charter Chief Executive Officer; Promotes Verschaetse to Senior Retail Manager

Marshall, Minn. - April 9, 2010 - Bremer Bank has announced that Roger Madison has been named Charter Chief Executive Officer for Southwest Minnesota. The announcement reflects the expanded role and responsibilities that Madison now has for Bremer Bank in Marshall, Willmar, Redwood Falls and the surrounding area.

Madison, who has more than three decades of banking experience, has served as the Bremer Bank Marshall president since 2005. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and retail manager at Bremer in Willmar for 14 years. Madison has also held a variety of banking roles at other regional banks. He is heavily involved in the community, currently serving on the boards of Avera Marshall Foundation, Southwest Minnesota State University Foundation, Southwest Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission, and serving on the Industrial Development Committee of the Marshall Chamber. Madison has also been involved with several other nonprofit and economic development organizations during his banking career. He and his family will continue to live in Marshall.

"Bremer has exceptional bench strength and Roger's promotion is a reflection of that," said John Bornhoft, Bremer Bank Board Member. "Roger has held multiple roles in both Marshall and Willmar and he understands the needs of clients throughout Southwest Minnesota. Our clients and communities will continue to benefit from his leadership."

Bremer's Cindy Verschaetse also earned a promotion, being named the bank's senior retail manager for Southwest Minnesota. Verschaetse is a 17-year veteran of Bremer serving in several different roles, most currently she was vice president of retail banking. She is an active member of the community, serving on the boards of the United Way of Southwest Minnesota, Pride in the Tiger Foundation, Southwest Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission and volunteers with several school committees. Verschaetse earned her bachelor’s degree from Southwest Minnesota State University.

"As I assume additional responsibilities, it's gratifying to have someone with Cindy's talents on our team," said Madison. "She's well-known in our community for her commitment to serving clients and the community, as well as for her passion for diversity and development of products and services that meet the needs of all of our clients."
