May 20, 2016 - Bremer Bank is pleased to announce that Mark Oleen has been named the new branch manager in Princeton. He will assume responsibilities from Art Skarohlid, who is retiring this summer after 43 years of service.
Oleen got his start in banking at Bremer more than three decades ago, first as a bookkeeper and then a personal banker. Years later he left the company to pursue a new opportunity and soon after was recruited to become vice president of Sherburne State Bank in Princeton. But Oleen never forgot his experience at Bremer and it eventually drew him back.
“I always remembered how committed Bremer was to providing exceptional service and the many meaningful, long-term relationships they had with clients,” Oleen said. “So when this new opportunity came up, I knew it was the right fit for me and was thrilled to go back.”
Kathie Fitzenberger, retail banking director, is equally excited about Oleen returning to Bremer. “We are incredibly fortunate to have Mark back on our team,” she said. “His depth of banking experience and regional expertise are outstanding, as is his passion for providing quality service.
“Mark also has integrity and sincerely cares about people,” Fitzenberger continued, “These qualities are important anywhere but are essential at Bremer.”
Oleen’s dedication to serving others goes beyond the workplace. He is currently vice chair of the Fairview Northland Medical Center board of directors and a member of the Mille Lacs County Economic Development committee. He has also served as president of the Princeton Rotary Club.
Oleen grew up in Milaca and currently lives in Pease with his wife. He enjoys spending time with his family, including six children and a daughter-in-law, and has a first grandchild on the way.
The Princeton Bremer Bank is located at 202 South Rum River Drive.
