February 27, 2014 - Bremer Financial Services announces the hire of Dan Flaningan as senior vice president and corporate treasurer. Flaningan brings more than 10 years of financial management experience and will manage the treasury responsibilities for the $8.7 billion dollar company.
Prior to joining Bremer, Flaningan was a senior vice president at Alumina Investment Management and a vice president at the Carlyle Group, where he advised both US and Caribbean domiciled banks regarding treasury related topics such as interest rate risk, investment portfolio construction, liquidity and regulatory reporting. Before becoming a bank treasury consultant, Flaningan managed investments and treasury for Peoples Bancorp in Marietta, Ohio and was the manager of investments and investor relations for First Place Financial Corp., in Warren, Ohio.

Flaningan has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and a master’s in business administration degree from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio.Bremer Financial Corporation
