Ron Richard

Nonprofit, Commercial, Business

Ron joined Bremer Bank in 2019, helping and advising nonprofit organizations and small businesses on their banking needs. Prior to that, Ron was able to marry his passions by working with and helping businesses and other entrepreneurs succeed through his career in commercial lending and banking for over 12 years.

Ron is also an entrepreneur, taking advantage of opportunities as an advisor and angel investor in some upstarts and existing businesses, including real estate and logistics. He has also provided advice on strategic and financial planning, business development, and capital structure.

Ron is apart of The MN Harvest Initiative, a group of black professionals and entrepreneurs who are looking to help better education and economic participation in our communities. He also serves as the Treasurer for LoveWorks Academy for Visual and Performing Arts, a charter school and SAFE MN, a non-profit that provides accommodating shelter and mentorship for young black males.

Ron is an avid and voracious reader, traveler, and undercover math geek. His favorite book is Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig. He recently traveled to Korea and Brazil for culture and family. He secretly reads and studies his sister’s calculus textbooks. He studied Accounting and Entrepreneurship at University of Mary in North Dakota and Applied Mathematics at Metro State University.
