Bremer Bank is proud to partner with the American Bankers Association (ABA) with the 2016 Lights, Camera, Save! video contest in the communities we serve in Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. We are excited to hear your ideas about saving and managing your money through your video.
As a contest sponsor, Bremer Bank will collect video submissions and determine one first-place winner from each state of Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. Each first-place winner will receive a $500 prize from Bremer Bank. The winning videos will also be submitted by Bremer Bank to the national Lights, Camera, Save! contest sponsored by the ABA Foundation, where a national grand prize of $5,000 is up for grabs. Video must be student’s original content and not contain any copyrighted material. This includes video and music clips as well as branded clothing and props.
Video message must be on one of these three topics:
- The value of saving money
- The value of saving money to pay for college
- The value of saving and using money wisely
Videos will be scored based on the following criteria:
- 40% for production value, including presentation quality, sound, lighting, etc.
- 30% for creativity
- 30% for message (see above)
Students should review last year’s contest winners to see what kind of quality is expected for a winning submission.
Videos should be no more than 90 seconds in duration and should not use any copyrighted material.
Download the submission packet available on this page. This packet must be completed by the student and a parent/guardian and included with the link to the video.
Please upload your video to YouTube as "unlisted" (not public or private) and sent he URL in the submission packet to Lara Angelo with Bremer Bank.
Submit the video and the completed submission packet between October 1, 2016 and December 1, 2016. Limit of one entry per student, submitted to only one participating bank.
Early bird videos: If you submit your video by November 16, Bremer Bank will conduct an initial review of your video. If we find any disqualifying elements, we will advise you by November 23 so you can edit your video for re-submission.
Contest entries will be accepted October 1, 2016 to December 1, 2016. Late entries will not be accepted.
You must live in Minnesota, North Dakota or Wisconsin to submit a video through Bremer Bank.
Bremer Bank will choose one winning video per state of Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. Those three winning videos will be submitted to the national contest.
Bremer Bank state-level winners will be announced no later than December 16, 2016.
National contest winners will be announced in late February 2017.
