Doubling down on ag expertise, Bremer Bank names Marc Schober to newly created Director of Specialized Agriculture Solutions role

07.29.19

St. Paul, Minn.– Signaling deepened investment in its agriculture and agribusiness customers, Bremer Bank has named T. Marc Schober to a newly created Director of Specialized Agriculture Solutions position.

In this strategic role, Schober will be responsible for identifying opportunities, services and solutions to serve Bremer’s agriculture customers in new and better ways. His thought leadership and relationship building will be crucial.

Bremer’s work is largely founded in commercial and agricultural banking, and Schober’s hire is a continuation of the bank’s sharpened focus on its key customers. At the beginning of May, Bremer launched a new brand and website, putting a face on its strategic direction as the bank focuses on meeting its customers where they are and in a way that provides value to them.

“Marc’s expertise in agriculture and agribusiness from numerous perspectives is unique and offers an incredibly valuable insight for our customers. Over the past few years, Bremer Bank has worked to solidify our position as a leading commercial and ag bank today and into the future, and Marc’s work will be crucial in that effort as he collaborates with our bankers, customers and managers to learn how we can meet our ag customers’ needs in new and better ways,” said Jeanne Crain, Bremer Bank President and CEO.

Schober’s agriculture connections reach all the way back to southeastern Wisconsin, where he grew up on a small family farm. In addition to working as an editor for Farmland Forecast and co-authoring two books on investing in farmland, Schober spent the last decade as a director at Colvin & Co. LLP, an asset management firm focused on agriculture.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to join an organization with deep roots in the neighborhoods it serves. Bremer Bank has partnered with the people who grow our food and strengthen our communities for generations, and I look forward to furthering that work,” Schober said.
