As Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, Ginny Kremer is responsible for risk management activities at Bremer, including consumer compliance, Bank Secrecy Act compliance, enterprise risk management, information security risk management, credit exam and corporate legal counsel. In addition, Ginny oversees Bremer’s corporate governance activities and Board relationship and serves as the organization’s liaison with federal regulators. She has combined her deep understanding of risk management with her insight into Bremer’s strategy to significantly improve the organization’s risk awareness, capabilities, reporting and control processes.
Prior to joining Bremer in 2014, Ginny led enterprise risk and audit functions at MoneyGram International and U.S. Bancorp. She also served as a board member and audit committee chair of Sunrise Banks for three years. Ginny earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa and is a certified public accountant and certified risk professional.
Ginny’s interest in risk management extends to her involvement in the community. She serves on the board of the Minnesota Safety Council, which is dedicated to preventing injuries at work, on the road, at home and at play. She also volunteers at White Bear Lake United Methodist Church and has chaired the Bremer United Way campaign. Ginny and her husband have two children.
